I have been teaching children and adults for over 15 years in French and English (and computers, which I consider similar to teaching a foreign language). I like breaking things down to make them accessible no matter what the initial skill level, and I'm good at making learning fun. My organizational skills are top notch, so I will be able to cater to each learner's needs and waste no time once we establish goals. I LOVE learning how to do things more effectively and efficiently, and that's led me to develop strong MS-Office skills--there's almost nothing you can't do with Word!
Last year I became Reading Recovery certified, so my skills in helping challenged readers/writers are quite strong. This program reaches out to young learners, but the reading process is the same for all learners and learning: I will determine where you are, where you need to go, and outline a path to get us there.
