I am a State-Certified teacher of music to Pre-K through 12th grade students. My 10 years of teaching experience include private lessons, coaching, and public and private school classroom music. I have played flute for over 40 years, and I continue to perform professionally.
My special teaching talent is in adapting my lessons to the individual student. My students and their parents consistently compliment me on my creative, relaxed, enjoyable and individualized approach. We learn technique, but we also improvise, play duets, harmonize, and compose our own music.
All of my students have performing opportunities at least twice a year where they are encouraged (not required) to perform. Music is meant to be enjoyed by the performer and the listener!
