I am a native Russian-born with an outstanding English teaching experience including private language tutoring with such famous schools as Berlitz, English First.
I have graduated from the National Linguistic University (Russia) in 1984 with the Bachelor Degree in teaching (equivalent of the US Master’s Degree by the number of academic credits and hours earned), and since then have worked as a classroom teacher at secondary schools and colleges of Russia and USA, as well as a private tutor of English or Russian. Along with the Bachelor Degree in education, I have an AS degree in Legal Assistant from Broward Community College, and a number of certificates from Great Britain, Canada and British Council in St. Petersburg, Russia, in the methodology of teaching English and Russian (materials and course design, syllabus, evaluations).
Working with students of different age and culture gave me an outstanding expertise of the teaching methodology. In 1997 I took a teacher's course of International Baccalaureate and Syllabus Design (Plymouth, UK), and since then successfully incorporated the ideas of best practices for my students.
I love teaching job, I strongly believe that there are no unsuccessful students, but there are gifted versus 'average' teachers, and I am positively a gifted one.
