Hi! I graduated from DePaul University, in the Honors Program, with a B.A. in English. While at DePaul, I tutored general reading, writing, and study skills to fellow college students, as well as volunteering in an after-school homework program for 1st through 8th grades at a local magnet school. After graduating, I worked for two years at Columbia College's Reading and Writing Center as an ESL Specialist. I have tutored students with a variety of different first languages. As I have a strong grasp of English grammar, vocabulary and composition, and I enjoy the interaction of different cultures and languages, I believe I can quickly identify the specific difficulties a student is having with English and work to correct them.
I am pursuing a career change to the art field. I have 10+ years of art training at the Art Institute of Chicago and DePaul University. I have worked with various media and can work with you to improve your drawing skills and knowledge.
