I'm offering my services in both English (including ESL, K-12 English, SAT prep, business/academic/creative writing, etc.) and Chinese tutoring (beginner through intermediate Chinese).

I'm ESL certified and have 6 years teaching experience both in America and China. I've passed testing to become certified in Secondary English in Massachusetts and am currently working as a full-time teacher.

I've already tutored hundreds of students during my time in China, so I'm experienced and efficient. My classes can be tailored to your individual needs and goals.

More On Sarah's Subjects:

  • Chinese

Dear students, have you dreamed about the Orient? Ever thought about taking up the challenge of learning a new language? Do you do business in China? Whatever your reason for wanting to study Chinese, I think you'll find me a friendly and helpful tutor. Here is some information about my background: I studied Chinese language and philosophy at Smith College. Upon graduation, I went off to further explore my interest in Chinese culture by studying Chinese Medicine at Five Branches Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I was an assistant teacher of Chinese there for two years. Following this, I spent the next four years living and teaching in China, where my language skills improved dramatically. I have taught bi-lingual Chinese/English courses, tutored over 100 students, and am currently working as teacher and translator in the Massachusetts public school system.

  • ESL/ESOL

Hi potential students, are you new to America? Does your English need work? Are you looking for a friendly and helpful teacher? I have a lot of experience and a nice personality. I can help guide you in studying English. We can work together to create a plan to meet your English needs (school, work, daily life, etc.) I have a lot of experience, including teaching ESL to recent American immigrants at a TaeKwonDo school for two years, teaching ESL for four years in China. My private tutoring experience includes teaching in English-only environments as well as teaching bi-lingual Chinese/English courses. I currently work as an ESL teacher and Chinese-English translator in the Massachusetts public school system.
