Hey, I'm Lauren! I'm a graduate student at Claremont working on a Master's degree in Religion. I specialize in tutoring English, beginning voice and piano, and grades K-6. I received my B.A. from a liberal arts university in Virginia where I studied literature, philosophy, history, and music. I graduated in 3 years, was on the President's List, and served on numerous leadership councils. I studied German for five years and lived in Germany for a year and a half, so I speak, read, and write fluent German. I studied voice and piano for nine years and sang with my university chamber choir. I also soloed with my high school choir in places such as Disneyland and Temple Square in Salt Lake City. While in high school, I earned a 4 and a 5 on the two AP English exams and I recently scored in the ninetieth percentile for the verbal portion of the GRE. I love working with all age levels, and have tutored and/or taught nearly every age from toddlers up. I have experience working with at-risk teenagers and am not easily thrown off course...:-) I'm very easy-going and flexible, and tailor my teaching to each student's understanding and capability. I just love learning and seeing others learn.
