My name is Kevin and I would like to tell you a little about myself. I graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor's degree in childhood education in August of 2005. I graduated from SUNY Cortland with a Masters degree in childhood education in May of 2008. I am NYS certified in childhood education for grades 1 - 6. I have worked as a 2nd and 3rd grade tutor at McGraw Elementary School in McGraw, NY. This was a very fulfilling position and some of the things that I did there include: mini lesson creation, managing learning games, helping with homework, and 1 on 1 individualized instruction. I love working with kids of all ages. It brings me joy when I see a child going through the struggles of learning and then seeing that twinkle in their eyes when they reach their potential for learning.

  I am NYS certified in childhood education grades 1 - 6. My subjects of interest are Math and Social Studies. I have substitute taught for a year and a half now and have worked with all students from grades 1 - 6. I have also done some after school tutoring for 2nd and 3rd graders. Some of the things that I have been responsible for in the past include: writing and implementing mini lessons, creation and implementation of learning games, and help with students homework.

  I have been playing golf ever since I was 4 years old. I played varsity golf in high school for 5 years at West Irondequoit High School. I participated in the NYS amateur golf tournament at Drumlins Golf Club in Syracuse, NY in 1998. I have played in multiple Rochester District Golf Association events all over the Rochester area. I still go golfing at least 2 times a week and try to get out more than that. I love the game and I love helping others take up the game or try to become better at the game.
