I'm currently a graduate student in African American Studies at Temple University. I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology and African American Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I was a tutor there in several areas of psychology ranging from developmental to research statistics.
I'm a very patient person and have a very relaxed method of tutoring, I believe that simply providing the correct answer is not an effective tutoring method and that allowing a person to work through problems or theories to reach a wrong conclusion is infinitely more valuable. This is so because it provides me as well as my tutee with invaluable information about the thought process involved in arriving at the incorrect answer so that we can adjust the way that problems are approached.
