Hi,
My name is Leah and I am looking forward to being your tutor. I majored in German and History at Clark University, where I graduated cum laude and was inducted into the German National Honor Society and the History National Honor Society. I have been studying German and learning about German culture and history since I was 12. It was my favorite subject in high school. I lived in Germany for two years and I still have friends there whom I like to visit. I also taught an Adult Education course in basic German.
My history major was concentrated in European History, but I have also covered the history of Chinese philosophy and Canadian history.
I also was certified to teach English as a Second Language, and I taught at the Rutgers University ESL/PALS program. My courses specifically dealt with vocabulary building, phonology, reading and writing.
I have tutored German students in English and ESL students on a one-on-one basis, and my tutoring style has been conversational, but centered around specific topics.

  I taught English as a Second Language at the Program in American Language Studies (PALS) at Rutgers University. My classes dealt with Vocabulary Building, Phonology, Listening, reading and writing. My students were business professionals, students and community members. I also have a certificate from the International TEFL Teacher Training, which was a 100 hour course for ESL. I received an A for the course. I also tutored students on a one-on-one basis while living abroad in Germany.
