Hi, My name is Austen. I'm a Quality Assurance Consultant with a Logistics & Transportation Solution Worldwide company at their Fort Worth, Texas location. My responsibilities include System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance services for all products within their vertical markets. Before going full time on consulting services, I have lead software testing projects at different levels including unit, application, functional, regression, and systems integration. Testing was performed on multiple operating systems and architectures including VMS, UNIX, NT, Mainframe, Client Server, and Embedded systems. Included I have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and a Masters degree in Human Relations and Computers in Business. Currently I’m pursuing a Doctorate degree in Information Technology (General) from Capella University. Coursework will be completed in fall’08 quarter to be followed by the comprehensive examination which will successfully transition the effort into the dissertation phase stage of the program. The plan is to utilize this advanced degree to teach in a university and graduate level courses to educate potential IT professionals of the needs of quality assurance in the use of IT. This desired is tested when I taught computer related courses in both traditional and online environments as an Adjunct faculty teaching.On a family basis, I am married with four children of which two are college graduates, one is senior in college and the youngest, is a High School freshman.During my leisure hours I like to watch sports, listen to jazz, play tennis and I also like to travel. Working as an IT consultant, teaching adult learners, staff training and writing procedures are my passions because I consider them as challenging adventures into knowledge.
