I am passionate about helping students learn, improve their academic skills, and achieve their most precious goals. My teaching philosophy has been formed by my ESOL K-12 teaching experience, my years as a camp counselor organizing and teaching sports and academic activities, and by my experience helping to coach my daughter's soccer team. The College of Notre Dame enriched me with a rewarding Master's degree program in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I am a certified teacher in this area as well as in Elementary and Middle School Education, and I have taught elementary ESOL students in small groups and individually, comparable to a tutoring situation.
My strengths as a teacher are: 1) my amazing ability to get children motivated and interested in learning, 2) my strong desire to make learning FUN, and 3) my gift at connecting with children, which in turn motivates them to work for my praise and appreciation of their accomplishments.
I look forward to working with you to help your children achieve their best potential.
