I am a native of Savannah, GA and lived in NYC off and on (mostly on) for over 20 years.
I have B.A. degrees in Music, History and English from Armstrong (currently Atlantic State) including coursework at USF (Tampa) and U of Michigan (Ann Arbor).
In NYC, I auditioned and was admitted to the BMI Theatrical Workshop attended for 4 years. My focus was composing songs, and in some cases lyrics, for the stage. I taught the Arts program at the Montessori School in Charleston, SC for two summers. In addition, I've given piano lessons to both young people and adults with focus on the use of the ear(improvisation) as much as the traditional methods.
I have recently had several works in progress with workshops and performances from Manhattan Theater Club, to the York Theater and to several cabarets in NYC.
I am currently an IT contractor for several different agencies serving the financial communities in NYC; including long-term contracts for HP and CITIGROUP.
Very strong skills in MS Word, Excel and Access.
I am an organized, informed and enthusiastic teacher/mentor/coach of those needing enrichment in the musical arts, languages, geography and literacy.
