About Anthony:

I am a degreed Mechanical Engineer, a Musician, an Actor, and a business owner. I've held many positions. I didn't realize how much I wanted to learn and read everyday until I got older.
For the past few months, I have been working on my own businesses, and I am able to handle many functions because I have learned to like learning, not just in school subjects, but in so many areas.
It takes a good teacher to understand what they teach, and even a better one to know how hard it is for others to start at the beginning.
I enjoy helping others learn and I usually end up learning something as well.
It can be rewarding on both sides.

More On Anthony's Subjects:

  • drums

I get excited just thinking about playing music and seeing music. I love it and I love when others want to learn about it. Drumming has been a great outlet and experience for me. My background on drums is pretty extensive. I started in Fifth Grade when I started taking formal lessons in school and weekly private lessons. I learned different styles on the set from jazz, country, rock, oldies, swing and more. In 9th through 12th grade I was in the High School Marhing Bands where I was the lead snare and quad player. I also performed with Orchestra, Jazz, and other Ensembles. I was a music education major my first year of college, but I did end up changing majors. About 7 years of my recent life were touring with two different bands. One was a shoegaze rock band and the other was a pop punk / emo style of band. I've had the chance to play clubs in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Washington DC, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto and more. I've taught drum lessons in the past for children around 5 years old all the way up to adults just wanting to learn as a hobby.

  • general computer

Using a computer is essential to my everyday living and tasking. I use it for everything from networking, emails, advertising, writing, music, graphics and even just browsing the internet. I first started as a young kid writing in my own codes to play simple video games, and then onto school and college where I learned to program and make cool robotic type of things. I even use it for music. Computers are fast and they are fun once you know how to utilize them to your advantage. They don't need to be hard, you just need to know where to start and not be afraid to just play around on them. My experience in computers is pretty vast. I have been proficient in many engineering programs like AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProE, CadKey, UniGraphics and more. Nearly every day I utilize Microsoft programs like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc. I have used and become pretty familiar with graphics programs like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and Jasc paintshop Pro. I have made websites using HTML code, or using programs like iWeb. My skills are in PC (computers like Dell, Packard Bell, Toshiba, etc.) and also in Mac (which I use a MacBook for all of my work). Once you learn one program, you will notice that all programs are basically the same, they just look a little bit different. I would like to help you become familiar in computer land.

  • general music

With General Music as a subject, it can vary greatly to meet the student's interests. Being a musician and taught theory, I can understand and teach newer students the concepts of rhythm, counting, time signatures, keys, note reading, etc. Being in the music communitiy and study the business, I also under a lot of the under workings or behind the scenes of contemporary music business. Also, being a recording and touring artist myself, I also know a lot of the processes involved with both of those areas. If the student is interested in live music, or recorded music, we can explore that together and I can be their guide to discover where their interest will lie in music. There are so many possibilities and I would like to help someone discover this side of life.
