Emily graduated from Northwestern in 2006, has worked in the private school system and assisted a famous playwright. She is a playwright and screenwriter herself, with a number of plays produced in New York and reviewed in the New York Times. Her screenplay has been optioned and is about to be cast. Emily is a creative and positive person who knows that learning must be enjoyable. She is patient but firm and wants to pack a lot of learning into one session. Emily has worked with 4-17 year olds in Reading, Writing, and Creative Writing. She has also coached volleyball and softball and loves tennis. Emily took this past summer to learn her first year of Mandarin and is excited to teach her students a little bit, and would also love to teach English as a second language. Emily hopes tutoring is the beginning of her teaching career.

  I have been writing plays since I was twelve and have loved going to the theatre for years. Doing theatre is fun and rewarding and I would like to teach playwriting and direct.
