About Jennifer:

I am a career educator with 13 years of experience teaching French. While teaching, I also tutored other students in French, outside of my regular students. Both my classroom students and tutor students were consistently successful in French, and I was regularly commended on my teaching style, and how it helped the students really "get" French. My teaching style is fairly traditional, as I believe that learning a language is a very basic part of an educational experience, and therefore should occur in a fundamental way. I am a grammarian primarily. I feel that once a student has French grammar down, he or she can handle the other parts of learning the language easily.

More On Jennifer's Subjects:

  • softball

I began playing softball in the second grade. From there I played until the current day. I took to first base almost immediately, and love the position. The team that I played for the longest placed seventh, then second in the State Tournament. I was routinely selected for all-tourament teams, and I was routinely asked to demonstrate skills to other players. To this day I play softball on a coed team and am an indispensible part of my team. I am a quick thinker on the field. I regularly give direction to the other fielders during the course of a game, but in a way that they accept and understand as helpful, not critical. Finally, I love the game.
