I just graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a Global Studies focus. Quite a mouthful. It was a very writing-intensive course, that allowed me to strengthen my growing writing abilities. I coached and refereed baseball, basketball and soccer, and thrive on teaching a child something, have them pick up on it, and see them succeed. There is no greater feeling than seeing children succeed and find that learning new things is one of the best parts of life. I am potentially going to join Teach for America next fall, and always felt that teaching is definitely something I wish to pursue one day.
