I recently graduated from Arizona State University, December of 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Human Development. I made the Dean’s List as well my Senior Year.
I have experience working with elementary age kids as well as Junior High and High School. During college, I was a tutor at a local Junior High and High School. I greatly enjoyed helping students with their homework and coursework as well as encouraging them to reach their goals, post high school.
I enjoy helping students see and reach their fullest potential by enabling them with the tools necessary to complete tasks set ahead for them. I find it very rewarding to help a student who may be struggling or not quite grasping a concept learned at school, comprehend it.
I am a very patient person and have learned through my tutoring experiences different ways to explain concepts required in core subjects. I also have knowledge of resources available for students who are close to attending college.
I like to make tutoring fun, so difficult or unclear concepts and subjects can be mastered and demonstrated on behalf of the student. I believe learning is driven by motivation. I have a strong desire and passion for learning and try my best to help others learn, gain and implement their own motivation to use in the future.
