I am currently working as an Engineer for a top 50 company in New Jersey. I graduated from Georgia Tech with a 3.85 GPA. I have enjoyed math and science from the time I was a little kid. My parents instilled a love of learning in me which I would like to pass on to the children I teach. I believe learning should be fun and productive. There more fun a child has learning the more they will want to continue.
Since I was in high school, I have been peer tutoring as well as tutoring younger children. I continued to peer tutor through college and worked in a pre-school part-time while I was there. Math has always been my strongest subject; hence the subject I have taught the most. In college, I took courses in Calculus 1,2 and 3; differentail equations; linear algebra and statistics.
My other passion growing up was swimming. I helped teach swimming lessons from the time I was 12 years old at my local pool. As I got older I lifeguarded at the same pool. I became Water Safety Instructor certified and began teaching lessons there. After I graduated from high school, I coached the swim team there. The first year I coached I had about 75 swimmers; the second year I couched I had over 100 swimmers. After moving to the Northeast, I have taught swimming lessons in peoples homes to maintain my certification.
I am also CPR and first aid for the professional rescuer certified.
