I am a high school graduate (Regis High School in the city) starting an Political Science/International Relations major at Hunter College. I was blessed by acceptance to the Macaulay Honors Program at Hunter, which is giving me a great college education, a dormitory, and even a MacBook all free of charge. However, I still have to pay for my food and other expenses out of my own pocket. I was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and came to the Unites States with my family in 1999. Although I took Latin in high school and received a 770/800 in the SAT Subject Test for that language, I enjoy tutoring Spanish more than anything. Although I did not take Spanish in high school (because I already knew it) I still took the Spanish SAT Subject Test and received a 800/800 on it. As a native speaker I have the ability to quickly point out even the smallest of mistakes and quickly correct them. Additionally, because of my experience with Latin, I am very familiar with the foreign language jargon (conjugations, declensions, mood, voice, etc). I have had several experiences (both volunteer service and jobs) tutoring middle school and high school kids in different subjects. I play soccer and teach myself Italian during my spare time. I am looking forward to meeting you and hope you will find my fee reasonable.
