I am a student-centered teacher who enjoys working with all ages of students. I just completed my last week of summer school teaching remedial 5th grade math in Franklin. The past school year I substitute taught for grades K-12 in Elmbrook, Waukesha, and Franklin School Districts. During the 2005-2007 school years I taught 5th grade at Hartland South Elementary for the Hartland/Lakeside School District. I love teaching, and I feel I have a good sense of how to effectively teach a wide range of students. I have taught 5th grade in some manner the last 4 years, from student teaching, long-term subbing, and as a regular teacher. I have the experience and instructional resources to help me as a tutor.
Having experienced summer camps, after school programs, and teaching I feel I connect well with various age students. Working with students as young as four and as old as eighteen in a variety of settings, I have learned so much about our society. With the knowledge that many young people are seeking a stable, optimistic, yet consistent male influence in their lives; I strive to positively fulfill that while teaching to impact peoples lives. I continually work with kids in various environments; either in schools, camps, sports, or church related events. My hope is to continue reaching young people for a long time.
