About Rachele:

Born and raised in Southern France, by Christian missionary parents, I spent the first nineteen years of my life there, graduating with a French Baccalaureate. I am thus completely bilingual in French and English (no accent). I was also able to learn Italian (as a second language) in my early teenage years. I was able to visit 18 countries thus far.
I moved to Maryland to continue College, teach, and to intern for Congressman Chris H. Smith in Washington D.C.
In 2004, I moved to California. I have experience teaching K-2, 6-12 and Adults/College level in both private and public schools. I have also tutored and taught private lessons. My subjects of preference are French, English and Italian.
My objective in teaching is to use my education and knowledge to motivate and instruct students.
In teaching, I get to know each student individually. I find out their Learning Style(s) and interests to help them better learn and retain what they learn.

More On Rachele's Subjects:

  • Bible studies

My first Masters degree is in Christian Studies (from Luther Rice University) so I feel completely competent and knowledgeable in teaching Bible studies. As a background, I was born and raised in a Christian and missionary home in Southern France. My father, Pastor Louis DeMeo planted many churches, Bible colleges, and Christian Day Schools in different parts of Europe and Africa. Both my parents taught at the Bible College. My mother, Janey DeMeo, is president and founder of Orphans First—a non-profit organization helping suffering children all-over the world. She is also a writer—focusing on parenting. Growing up in such a home certainly gave me a very broad, cultural and spiritual background. I believed in God as that was what I was taught. I got baptized at five. At the age of eight however, I started questioning my parents’ beliefs and decided to study religion for myself. My mother bought me a book on Religions of the World and I studied it intensely. I came to the conclusion that Jesus was Lord and the important thing was to have a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. At such a young age (eight), I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior and prayed with my parents to accept Jesus in my heart. From then on I started praying for missionaries, for family and friends and read my Bible. I felt a burden for children all over the world and felt compelled to become a teacher. I taught for the very first time at age twelve. I had seven French-speaking students and taught then English. Later on in life, I began tutoring and teaching. I felt a nudge on my heart from God to teach and decided to get my Bachelor’s (currently working on a Second Masters degree) in Christian Education (General) so I could get a Christian Perspective on teaching. I have taught K-2, 6-12, and Adults (as well as substituted for grades 4-12). I believe God has called me to be a teacher to motivate and instruct students. As well as teaching, I have personally counseled and mentored students. My husband, Jastin, and I are actively involved in our Church (North Coast Calvary Chapel) as we lead the Young Married Couples group and host a Couples Bible Study at our home. In August 2008, my husband and I also got "re-baptism" to recommit our lives to God.
