I am originally from Kentucky and have just moved into the Detroit Area. I graduated from Baldwin- Wallace College in Berea, OH with my degree in Early Childhood Education with a Reading Endorsement. I have over 20 graduate hours from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. I have spent the last two years teaching 2nd Grade in an American School on the island of Sint Maarten, Netherland Antilles. I believe in using the interest of the child to guide lesson planning. I also use a variety of materials to teach skills. In addition to teaching a class of 25 students, I also have two years experience working one on one with students after school who needed additional support in certain areas. I have a lot of enthusiasm for teaching and I am whiling to make the extra effort to make sure each child reaches their goals.
