I am a Registered Veterinary Technician with a strong background in life sciences. I graduated with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology from Cedar Valley College in 1983. My coursework there included Biology, Biochemistry, Anatomy and Physiology. Through my Comparative Anatomy and Physiology courses in High School, I was able to make a strong connection between human and animal systems and am amazed at the similarities.I also have an intense love of the English language. I have taken additional college courses in English, writing, proofreading and grammar.I have six years of formal teaching experience, and 28 years of experience in training and mentoring. As a veterinary technician, I am responsible for training staff and educating clients. My teaching style is very informal. I think it is important that learning be enjoyable, not a chore. My desire is ignite a fire in my students; a fire that can only be extinguished through learning and knowledge.
