I graduated college with a Secondary Education Mathematics degree. I have been tutoring students in math for about 10 years. Although I've taught math all the way up to Precalculus, I prefer working with students in the beginning of their math experience. Prealgebra and Algebra are a struggle for many students. I believe that if students are able to understand these basic concepts, all future math becomes much easier for them. Students understand math in different ways. If students are instructed in only one manner, many will not grasp the concepts. When I tutor, I explain a concept or idea in many different ways until I find one that the student truly understands.
