I am currently a graduate student in Applied Mathematics at Johns Hopkins University. I have always enjoyed and had an affinity for explaining concepts in mathematics to other students. While I have conducted mathematical research, I was more enthusiastic about my job as a teaching assistant. I spent 2 semesters with Discrete Math and 1 semester with Deterministic Math Models. I have also individually tutored in geometry, calculus, statistics, algebra, and other subjects that any of my classmates has asked for help with. Not only do I have experience with tutoring college and high school aged students, but also middle school. I spent the last summer as the instructor for a logic and reasoning course at the Hopkins Center for Talented Youth program.
I always make myself available and am very patient with explaining. I prepare at least 3 different approaches to any given topic since not everyone understands math concepts when presented from the same angle.
