I am a recent graduate from Duke University where I majored in English and Theater with a certificate in Film Studies. I have previous tutoring experience, mostly in Math and English. I have taken a large number of English courses including academic writing, reading historically, variety in language, Shakespeare, screenwriting, Chaucer, recent fiction, and dramatic writing. I spent much of my high school career tutoring fellow students in Math and much of my college career helping with paper in English courses. I am a very deliberate tutor and will take as much time as necessary to make sure that you understand the concepts. I also understand numerous processes for writing a paper and organizing your thoughts, which will allow me to present greater analysis and aid on writing assignments.

• swimming

  I began swimming competitively when I was eight years old and continued all the way up until my senior in high school. I was captain of both my high school team and my local community swim team in my junior and senior years of high school. I still swim regularly but not for any sort of team. I have a lot of experience in teaching strokes as well as putting together practices to work on different elements of competitive swimming. I also have worked with new swimmers and am more than capable of teaching the basics.

  I played volleyball for three years in high school and one in college. I was the starting setter on my high school team and served as team captain in my senior year. I have a very good working knowledge of the skills required to play including experience teaching the game in both one-on-one and group settings.
