I familiar with Orton Gillingham and Wilson Reading to help struggling readers learn to read. I have experience with the mathematic basics at elementary level and techniques to help student's understand the concepts of addition. subtraction, multiplication and division as well as fractions, integers and math word problems.
I am familiar with strategies in special education to help students with comprehension building and summarizing. These are tools that will help students in all academic areas.
Many schools use Wilson Reading but are limited in the time they can dedicate individually to students. When students are given three 45 minute sessions a week they can build their reading ability. If a student s a struggling reader this program is successful and works with the program the schools use to teach struggling readers.
