I am a sophmore at St. Petersburg College. I am looking to major in Elementray Education and Psychology. I love reading and writing, therefore English is one of my favorite subjects. I enjoy grammar and geography and am always assisting my two younger sisters in the subjects. I have a sister who is in 8th grade and one that is in 5th grade. I am a very family oriented person and take school seriously. I love working with other people and helping people.
I really enjoy school and learning. I feel like in order for students to truely enjoy learning you have to make learning fun and interesting. I like to teach using things that appeal to the students interest because I feel as if they will have a better time learning and remembering it. I am a visual learner, therefore I like to teach using a visual manner.
I have also played softball for 10 years. I have played competitively in a travel league, the Clearwater Bullets, that was rated 2nd in the state. I was co-captain every year that I played. I played for 4 years at Pinellas Park High School and led the team in batting average all four years. I was also team captain my junior and senior years. I was also drafted to many diffenet colleges last year to play including University of South Carolina Upstate, Webber, Tusculum, and Milligan. I chose Eckerd College and played for a year before blowing out my knee. I have worked as a softball coach/ counselor for Kotchman Baseball School. I have been a volunteer coach with younger teams associated with the Clearwater Bullets and Pinellas Park Fastpitch.
