I teach private classical piano lessons for those who want to play for leisure, as well as those serious about classical music. With my extensive musical background, I also tutor in general music and music history.

My vision as a piano teacher is to guide students in developing a life-long love and appreciation for music; to train them to proficiency at the piano through a strong foundation in technique, tone production, and musicality; and to build in them a solid understanding and competency in music theory, aural skills, sight-reading, and practice disciplines.

I have a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I can teach from my own experience as a pianist and performer, both as soloist and as part of ensembles. I also have years of teaching experience with both children and adults.

  My qualifications as a piano teacher include a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from UC Berkeley. I teach from my own extensive experience as a pianist and performer, both as a soloist and as part of ensembles. I’ve earned many music awards and honors, including a place in a Berkeley concert series, a traveling scholarship to play and study in Italy, and a coveted master class with world-renowned pianist, Richard Goode. I also have private teaching experience with both children and adults, with ages ranging from 5 to 75. My students learn how build solid technique, produce good tone, and develop in musicality. My passion is music, and I love imparting that to others through teaching.
