I have chosen to participate in WyzAnt program because I think I can make a significant contribution to learning languages, more specifically French. On a personal note, I speak four languages and have lived in several countries on four continents. With a Ph.D. in Linguistics, I have done research and/or taught French in several universities (Penn State, MIT, Harvard, and others). I also have considerable experience in training teachers and language instructors, and preparing teachers for their foreign language certification tests. My methods are eclectic, mostly based on students’ interests and language needs. I analyze students’ objectives and needs, and build customized programs of study that will be most effective in helping them reach their goals.
