Hello! I'm an ESL teacher/tutor in the James Island area of Charleston.

I hold an MA in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and a BA in English Literature. I have experience teaching English to nonnative speakers here in the US and in Mexico as well. I have taught in schools and also as a private instructor and I have worked with ESL students from over 20 countries.

I am an energetic, creative, caring, and student-centered tutor.

  I am a life-long player of volleyball. I was a four-year varsity starter at Bethany College (WV) and before that at my high school where I was also a four-year starter in basketball and softball. I've been playing indoor and outdoor co-ed volleyball since I was a child. I love teaching the fundamentals of form and play, especially to new players!
