EDUCATION: I am a Spanish teacher certified by the state of Oklahoma. In 1978, I received a Law degree from the Universidade Federal da Bahia, in Salvador, Brazil, with emphasis in Labor & Employment Law.
In 2005, I completed my Masters in Spanish at the Universidad de Salamanca, in Spain. I am also seeking a Masters degree in TESOL (ESL) at the Oklahoma State Univ2004
TUTORING EXPERIENCE: PRESENT:Bixby High Schools- Bixby, Oklahoma. Spanish Teacher: Spanish II, III, IV and V. Created the Spanish Club, to promote and enhance the understanding of the Hispanic culture.
2002- 2004:Tulsa Public Schools: Edison Middle School. Tulsa, Oklahoma. Teacher: Spanish I, Spanish Exploratory, World Cultures and Reading for 6th, 7th and 8th. graders, with the Magnet Program. Created and implemented the Bank of Culture for my students, to encourage researches about other worlds.

1997-1998: Public Defender's Office – Tulsa, Oklahoma.Legal Intern with the Civil department (Adoption), doing legal researches, contacting law offices, organizing files and explaining procedures for adoption. Simultaneous translations in attorney-client conferences, adoption hearings and translation of relinquishment and termination rights in Spanish.
PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS: President of Spanish Club in Bixby High School. Member of Southwest Conference on Language Teaching (SWCOLT), member of the East Asia Studies with the Oklahoma University, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and The Writing Project, sponsored by the Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Associated with the Oklahoma Foreign Language Teachers' Association (OFLTA).
PERSONAL INFORMATION: Born in Ilhéus, Bahia, Brazil. Married for 28 years to Bryan who is an EVP for MPSI Systems (software). We have two boys: Christian, graduate of Dayton University in Ohio, and Anthony, a graduate of William Jewell College, both in International Business. After living in Tulsa for fourteen years, my family acquired the American citizenship last year.
