I can do the "chalk and talk" style or a very hands-on, playful approach. In language teaching, I believe in making it WORK! (like in real life). In literature and film, I draw analogies and help students discover how much they ALREADY know, from myth, and children's literature. For writing, I believe in multiple rewrites. Above all, to write well requires reading good writing.
For speakers of European languages, my familiarity with many of them enhances my ability to teach fine points of English.
