As a teenager, I have always been a voracious reader. You could usually find me reading the dictionary in a corner somewhere at home. I have composed expository writings of various difficulty, including the editing and review of English and American literature , prose and other compositions. One of my favorite assignments while in college was conducting library research for college papers using every media resource available. I graduated with honors. My tutoring experience includes helping English-as-a-Second Language, at-risk elementary and junior high school students at neighborhood community after-school centers. I like teaching one-on-one to give the student the attention needed. I helped students with the foundations of English grammar, sentence structure, phonics, spelling and reading. In 2003, I shelved the dream of becoming an elementary teacher. The reasons are not that important anymore, but the opportunity to help young people read and write better is. The one most important simple truth I discovered about writing well, is to read more. Once the love of READING is started, then anything is possible.
