Dear Student,
My name is Patrice Kelly and I am an experienced software trainer. I have been using computers since high school, through college and all my jobs there after. My second job after college was a Microsoft Software Trainer at Knowledge Impact(KI). My responsibilities at KI were to train all Microsoft products, such as, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Outlook. If we were assigned a job and not familiar with the software we (trainers)were give 24 to 48 hours to learn a new software. That may not seem like a lot of time, however, once you know a handful of Microsoft products, it is easier to learn a new one.
At KI I traveled throughout New England to company sites to train their employees. KI also held classroom-style training in Framingham, MA. When I was not on-site I was instructing at the classroom. I taught large Fortune 500 companies, such as Gillett, Bryers Ice Cream and TJ Maxx. I also taught a few classes at the University of New Hampshire in Durnham, New Hampshire.
After teaching Microsoft products I was promoted to the customized software division. This means, my company would specially design a software specific for the client's needs and then I and a team of trainers would train the entire company's staff. Depending on the size of the client, I have have had to train the entire staff alone. My largest client was Goldman Sachs, Inc in New York, NY which took a year and a half.
I love traveling so my next job was a Regional Sales Manager for a cooking equipment company, Motion Technology, Inc. (MTI). At Motion Technology I continued my Microsoft use and learned a new software called ACT. During my six years at MTI I used three different ACT versions. I have a thorough knowledge and experience with ACT. It is a great database type software which maintains a large amount of client data. You are able to customize your fields and comments.
I received my Associates Degree in Business Administration at Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner, MA (1995). I also received my Computer Programming Certification at Worcester Polytech Institure in Worcester, MA (1998). Currently I am a student at Mass Bay Community College in Framingham, MA finishing my Associates Degree as a Radiology Technician (2009).
