I have over 19 years in education and have written curriculum that is used in all grade levels preschool through the 12th grade. I have also written ACT prep curriculum and have access to the ACT curriculum standards.
I have worked with students at every grade level to enhance their writing ability and understand how to use standardized test scores to get a focus on the level your student is performing. We can then use those same standards to track grade level reading improvement. Whether your student is a gifted student needing to advance or a special needs student, I will tailor a tutoring program that can show measurable results through data.
I have spent many years working with students in one on one situations to improve their reading and writing levels, as well preparing students for the ACT exam. I am a very positive and enthusiastic tutor that shows the students what they can accomplish and constantly gives them the positive feedback they need to keep moving forward!
I have been a classroom teacher, a principal, a curriculum director, and a school superintendent. My entire career has focused on student achievement and how to help students improve. I have established and run several after school turtoirng programs, as well as summer school and alternative school programs. I also have been a very successful head basketball and baseball coach and have won several "coach of the year awards."
