My name is Brittany, and I'm in my fourth year at Kennesaw State University. I have studied French every year, since I was in the seventh grade. I am majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in French. I am still currently taking upper division French courses. I love it so much that I just can't stop taking them. I have made mostly A's and a few B's in my French classes. I can certainly supply a transcript, if you would like.
My freshman and sophomore year, I was involved in teaching French, once a week, for the afterschool program at Big Shanty Elementary. I had to create activities and plan each hour session for four to five fourth and fifth graders. In the summer of 2007, I studied abroad in Martinique, a French island in the Caribbean, for four weeks. During my stay there, I lived with a family and took language and culture classes. I had to speak French the entire time, as there were very few English speakers on the Island.
I would love to help beginning level French students improve their language skills and maybe help them obtain a love of the French language as well.
