About Miesha:

Over the past six years I have worked in an elementary school with primary responsibility for teaching a class of grades 2nd-6th grade. Where necessary I have spent a lot of time outside school hours with students who required extra assistance with various areas that they may struggle in. My greatest fulfillment in my teaching career thus far is seeing a student that has been in my classroom graduate from high school and thanking me for my time, compassion, and perseverance. I have found my role as a teacher both fulfilling and rewarding.

My name is Miesha Caldwell who is proud to be called an educator for over 10 years. I have taught grades 2nd grade to 7th grade with students varying in different academic levels. I have also been a preschool director and have taught children as early as 2 years old. There is no greater satisfation for me than for a student to reciprocrate the knowledge that I have taught them. I have had students who who have struggled in various subjects and after tutoring them one on one, have seen them excel and regain their confidence in the subject that they thought they had no hope in. I like to interact with each student to see what their weaknesses are and also what their strenghts are because that can be used as a tool to help aide them in the tutoring process. As a teacher I do not believe in labeling a student as a weak student or a problem student. I look beyond that and look at their potentials, what their interests are , what motivates them; then I am able to assess and equip each individual student according to their needs and aide them along on the path to succcess. My secret weapon as a teacher is to make learning fun and making each subject hands on! Whether its describing a math problem through a trip to the grocery store with mom or explaining the process of photosynthesis through observing a live plant. These are different wasys and ideas that are effective in teaching and tutoring!
