I earned my undergraduate education at the University of California Riverside. My major was Cell Molecular Biology with a minor in Mathematics. As an undergrad, I held a leadership position in a health organization to recruit professional school speakers as well as organize volunteer activities. In this organization, I tutored in the subjects of undergraduate biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics. Following my undergraduate education, I moved to Richmond to attend VCU for my graduate education. I earned my post-baccalaureate in the Biomedical program and followed that by obtaining my masters degree in Human Genetics. Currently, I am working in the internal medicine department at VCU in the Leukemia Cancer Laboratory.
