As a life-long learner, I have slowly acquired new knowledge, while improving my ability to read, write, and present my knowledge-base to others. Having worked with children, ages 3-17, I have a great sense of the developmental process. I have worked in Social Work and Education for the past 11 years.
Five and a half of those years, I taught Middle School Science on the south side of Chicago, where I became familiar with a broad array of science concepts, vocabulary, and curriculum. And, I am proud to say, that our students achieved excellence, earning 89.7%, not only in Science, but also in Language Arts and Mathematics.
However, one of my greatest strengths and/or passions is working with students who truly want to learn, but just need some guidance to achieve their desired end result. I LOVE to empower people to believe in themselves, recognize their own abilities, and find a place in the world that calls to them, as individuals.
My job as a tutor is not to brag about what I know; rather, it is to assist YOU in realizing your own potential. In the case that you are interested thus far, please write to me. I will do all that I can to take you to "your" next level.
