I received my B.A. in organ, piano and church music from the Hochschule fuer Musik, Dortmund/Detmold, Germany, and taught piano since 1997 and organ since 1999.
Additionally, I am certified in English, French and Spanish from the European Language School, Dortmund, and have taught Portuguese and ESL both in Europe and the USA since 2002.
I strongly excel in organization, thorough planning and detail-oriented, structured teaching and all levels in both music and the above-mentioned languages.
Having been raised and educated in Germany, I am fully fluent in German as well and instructed primary school children, from multicultural backgrounds, in the fundamentals of the German language as an assistant German teacher in NYC.
I have taught children, teenagers and adults in both music and languages and am looking forward to pass on my gained experience to future students.

  I've been teaching ESL in Portuguese and I love it! Helping people who come to the US to learn English is a very rewarding and indispensable job. It feels good to experience the effort and progress the students make and to see how proud they are after a while being able to participate in conversations.

  Being myself a musician, it is a wonderful experience to teach others about the language of music and to play an instrument. It becomes a part of yourself and something you want to share with others, so that they may experience the same fulfillment which comes with learning and making music.

  Being of Portuguese descent, but born and raised in Germany, I hold very dear any Portuguese traditions, especially this beautiful language, which today is one of the world's major languages. It makes me proud to teach it and to keep it alive, as it has been for many centuries.
