Thanks for contacting me. Let me tell you a little about me . I have a very diversed background. I was born in Colombia , South America , so actually English is my second language. After living in Europe for ayear a moved to the states. This is my 7th year in this beautiful contry.
In my native country I was pursuing a Masters degree in Marketing and advertising. My artistic abilities have a great influence on my teaching style as I use everyday associations and experiences to connect with the students. I can create something that will help them to remember, relate or associate to . This will help them to use common things to create their own techniques and improve their skills. It all about accountability.
I have worked for the Colombia County Board of Education as a substitute teacher and Teacher aid. Two years later , I was offered a part time job as a Spanish Teacher for seniors and juniors at a private School in South Carolina. There was such a positive feedback from parents and students that my hours got extended and I became the Spanish teacher for all grades. I was not counting on that as I was also perusing a second career as a Realtor!
It was a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, the extended hours and long driving distances made an impact in my decision to put a hold on my Teaching experience and continue full force with my Realtor Career. Now, once again I feel the need to continue to serve others and make good use of my talents. I have the privilege to have a wonderful son as freshman in high school and seeing him getting excited about taking advanced Spanish with great confidence made me realize the importance of having someone willing and able to help when challenges come your way.
I look forward to having you as my student and I believe that a difference can be made when there is real desire to learn and a honest desire to teach.
