I graduated from the University of Northern Illinois in 1986. I have taught for over 17 years in both urban and rural school settings. I love to teach mathematics! I enjoy helping students understand and learn the mathematical concepts they are having trouble grasping. I worked in Cleveland for over 14 years and I often found myself teaching Algebra students basic math concepts that they should have acquired in grade school. Because of this, I have had extensive experience in teaching skills involving addition, subtraction, fractions, percentages, multiplication and division, just to name a few. I am well versed in finding different ways to teach the same topic. I am patient when dealing with the anger, frustration and anxiety that some students experience because they do not understand, or care to learn the subject matter. I love it when a student realizes they can master the math! I will give your child confidence and feeling of success that they may not have experienced before.
