Hi there!
I'm a Masters candidate in French literature here in San Francisco/Berkeley, and one-on-one tutoring is my favorite form of teaching. I lived in Paris and the French West Indies for three years after college. During this time I studied French at La Sorbonne and taught English to French high school and graduate students. French literature and social philosophy are my passions, and I love the diverse francophone cultures so much that I promise you'll walk away from my lessons whistling the Marseillaise and ready to hop on the next flight over to France :)
Most recently I taught French 101 and 102 at San Francisco State University and realized how much I enjoy turning tricky french grammar rules into clear, comprehensible formulas for my students.
I'm very flexible and patient and a teacher and pride myself on setting goals with my students and then not only meeting them but bypassing them as well.
I'm looking forward to meeting you, and to passing on to you my deep appreciation for the French language and culture!
