  Hello! My name is Kenda Brooks. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas. After college, I joined the corporate world and worked as a Client Account Manager for a major home loan company. I have many friends and extended family that's not from the U.S. and I had helped them to learn English, so after working for my company for a little more than a year, I decided to become a certified ESL teacher. I went to Prague, Czech Republic and receieved my Trinity TESOL certification through Oxford Tefl. While I was in Prague, I taught English to adults who came from a variety of backgrounds. I worked with adults who were considered beginners and we had to work on everything from phonetics to nouns and verbs. I also taught students whose English was advanced. We mainly worked on conversational English, and covered subjects ranging from business to everyday idioms. We also worked on their writing, e.g. essays, book reports, etc. I am also trained to teach children but most of my experience is teaching adults general and business English. Thank you! Kenda Brooks
