In my years of school I have always been strong in math. It was my 7th grade math teacher who placed me in avid because of my math skills. I took algebra1 in 8th grade and passed. Had a problem with my math class schedule when going into highschool so for my 9th grade year I took algerbra1 again but I tutored the students in that class. 10th grade I moved on to honors geometry. 11th algebra2 and 12th grade I took honors algebra2. I have always been one to help out other students when they couldnt understand math. I really enjoy teaching the younger kids math such as adding. I try to make it fun for them with small games. and i try to show them more than one way to do a problem.
