Hi -My name is J.D., and I've been tutoring all sorts of standardized tests for Revolution Prep (www.revolutionprep.com), a test-prep company based in Los Angeles, for three years. Well, I moved out here to Winston-Salem, and Rev Prep doesn't have a presence here, so I'm tutoring on my own now. At Revolution, I was one of their top tutors (called "Premium Tutors"), and I wrote the rough draft for our curriculum for the CAHSEE (California High School Exit Exam), and it was one of only three curricula that were approved by the California Board of Education to be taught to its students. Here's some of the feedback that some of my classroom and private students posted on my page at Revolution Prep (I haven't edited for grammar or spelling, as you may be able to tell):'JD was amazing!''J.D. Serfas is a great teacher.''J.D. is an excellent teacher that I would proudly reccomend to him to any of my friends. He is VERY enthusiastic and can make the 3 hour sessions exciting and worth going to.''JD was a great teacher who connected well with all the students and was very knowledgeable about the SAT''He was very intertaining and pulled his students into the curriculum. Learning about the SAT could easily be boring, but he made it interesting.''Great Teacher!!''One of the best teachers I've had''he made seemingly difficult concepts easy to understand''J.D. was very helpful and always easy to communicate with.''He is a really exciting teacher, and he is very approachable.''He is an amazing teacher. He is one of those teachers who actually cares if you do well or not.''very funny, easy to talk and relate to'I have a double degree from Northwestern University in Theater and Psychology, and I've studied Pre-Medical sciences at UCLA. Here are my relevant test scores, all of which come from an officially administered test or an official release of an actual previous administration of the test (I'm not posting any tests that don't meet these standards, such as the GRE and GMAT, but I have taught them before):SAT (taken in high school): 1570; 790 Verbal, 780 MathNew SAT: 2400; 800 in Verbal, Math, and WritingACT: 36LSAT: 180MCAT: 42 SSeveral AP exams, all 5's and some 4's.Several SAT: Subject Tests, all above 750.Please let me know if you're interested!
