I love helping people learn and understand things that are complicated to them. I understand that certain things simply don't come easy to people and I enjoy creating new ways in which to teach them. I have unlimited patience and am a very friendly, outgoing person. I have been using Microsoft Office (mainly Word and PowerPoint) for many years and am very proficient with it. My father constantly asks for help with PowerPoint presentations that he has to present to the bosses of his company. I also love math, especially algebra. It was always my best subject in high school and I used to tutor my little sister all the time. During the summer of 2007 I did a study abroad in Spain to refine my Spanish skills. I have been taking Spanish classes for 6 years now and am fluent in the language. I tutor many friends in Spanish and love it, because it keeps me sharp. I am the Spanish "grammar tutor and essay proofreader" within my group of friends. Along with academics, physical education is my passion. I was on a Georgia state championship soccer team in 2003 and played the game from age 9 to the present. I also enjoy swimming and was on my neighborhood and high school swim teams for many years.
I will be graduating from the University of Georgia in December 2008 with a major in International Business (focus in finance) and a minor in Spanish. The idea of working as a tutor sounds very appealing and rewarding to me. It always makes my day to hear my friend tell me he or she did well on their Spanish test because of my help!
