  Teaching Japanese I have taught Japanese for 25 years to my husband and three children. Furthermore, I understand techniques of teaching language because I have an Associate Degree in English from Komazawa Women's Jr. College in Japan, where I obtained a certificate to teach English to Junior High School students. Futhermore, I took one year of ESL (English as a Second Language) classes at Brigham Young University. My husband knew no Japanese when we married 25 years ago, but now he can converse and understand the language well. Tutoring Besides teaching my husband and children Japanese, I have had numerous opportunities to tutor. In Japan, I tutored several elementary and jr. high school students in English and Math. Additionally, I volunteered many times to tutor at my children's elementary school. I primarily tutored math to students who were a bit slow to help them catch up with the rest of the class. I enjoy teaching and helping people learn new things. I love to see their happiness when they've accomplished things and are satisfied with themselves.
