I have a master's degree in Information Assurance, a BS in Computer Information Systems. I have worked in private and government sectors and as a Realtor. I have taught in formal classroom settings (university), and small informal group settings and in seminars on of over 100 people. I have been a facilitator to high school students as well as peers. I believe that people learn in different ways. Depending on the student, the teaching style may need to be adjusted. I believe that being an effective teacher takes more than just book knowledge. It also takes the ability to relay information in such a way that the student (no matter the age), can understand and retain the information. And it also takes great interpersonal skills. This is what I bring to the table as a teacher, subject matter expertise, interpersonal skills, flexible teaching style, coupled with my work and life experience makes me an effective teacher, no matter what subject I'm teaching.
